Merrimack Department of Public Works
HKT was hired by the Town of Merrimack, New Hampshire to provide architectural services related to the feasibility, conceptual design and estimation of a Public Works Facility. As part of phase I, HKT conducted a feasibility study to determine if the existing facility could be renovated based on needs, environmental regulations, building codes and budget, or whether the entire series of buildings should be razed and a new facility should be constructed.
Existing site conditions include an existing underground tank fuel depot and a 10-year-old high-arch gambrel salt shed which are scheduled to remain large areas of storage for gravel, sand and other waste generated by operations. This large site also includes ballfields and proposed future soccer fields.
